Our wedding was held on June 14, 2008 in New Orleans, LA. The ceremony was in the gardens of the Claiborne Mansion.
Immediately following the ceremony, a second line parade escorted guests to the reception site; the Melrose Mansion.
Since so many people have asked.... here is the official recipe for the mojitos we served at the ceremony:
Rose’s Original Mojito Mix
½ Bacardi and ½ Malibu
Soda Water
Muddle mint leaves and lime – add 1 part of each ingredient – pour over crushed ice and enjoy. You can adjust the amounts as needed.
If you don't have a bottle of Rose's Mix, you can muddle 6 lime quarter slices, 1 sugar cube, 8 mint leaves and a splash of lemon lime seltzer, add Bacardi and Malibu and pour over crushed ice.
We booked the amazing Chris Klein and the Boulevards for our second line parade and reception! Visit their myspace page to check them out and purchase CDs.

We met on Charles' 24th birthday. A good friend and bridesmaid extrodanniare, Lauren, worked with Charles at Deloitte, and she introduced us at his birthday get-together. Sparks may have flown at the first meeting, but Jessica wasn't available at the time.
About a year and a half later, after a few group gatherings, Charles finally asked Jessica to go with him to his office's holiday party.... The rest is history!
In the three years before getting engaged, we have traveled together to the Virgin Islands, New York City, New Hampshire, California, Arizona, and Disney World. We purchased a house together in Reston, VA, and added a puppy, Maddie, to the family, in addition to the dog Chaz had since college, Voodoo.
We got engaged in October 2007 in London. Charles was there for work and Jessica came out to visit for a long weekend. The engagement came as a surprise, Charles promised a nice picnic in Regents Park and once we made it to a particularly scenic spot, Charles got down on both knees and popped the question.
We spent the next six months in engaged bliss before we really started to make any plans for the wedding. We always have worked slow!
